This includes actively monitoring and maintaining all infrastructure components, lead ad-hoc tasks and projects, as well as interacting with clients to assist with their ongoing needs. This position grants the opportunity to be hands on in a vast variety of technologies ranging from server based infrastructure (Solaris, Linux, Wintel, VMS systems administration) to system level programming (shell scripting, Perl scripting , VB scripting). In summary, this position will be highly involved in all aspects of technology, as well as exposure to the financial markets. Qualifications: -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Exposure to US Treasury trading required -Exposure to Futures trading a plus -UNIX with 3 years experience required -OpenVMS or VAX/VMS experience is a plus -Demonstrated leadership ability, strong team player who enjoys working in a fast paced atmosphere -Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments and projects -Self motivated, directed and passionate about what you do -Must be able to work the occasional weekend, holiday and after hours support -BS in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or related engineering/science fields -2-5 years experience in engineering, engineering support, or technical support environment or equivalent consulting experience -Prior customer-facing experience a plus CONTACT INFORMATION: Mike Stapinski Email Mike Stapinski   Next Step Systems 1212 S.
