Lead Test Engineer - The Computer Merchant, Ltd LOCATION: US-SC-Charleston COMPANY: The Computer Merchant, Ltd INTERNAL JOB #: 09-01378 POSTED: 11/19/2009 JOB SKILLS: QA JOB TYPE: W2 START DATE: ASAP PAY RATE: Depends on Experience TRAVEL: none required JOB DESCRIPTION: The Computer Merchant Ltd. is presently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Lead Test Engineer to support a client in their facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Position: Quality Assurance Lead Test Engineer Location: Charleston, South Carolina Duration: This is an initial contract opportunity with potential for extension/conversion to permanent employment Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Policies: Must be able to complete and pass both a drug test & background investigation. Must presently hold an active Secret Clearance or higher Rate: Open for discussion/negotiation Overview: Lead small team of software testers using IBM Rational Tools such as RequisitePro, ClearQuest, TestManager, FunctionalTester, ManualTester, ClearCase and BuildForge to test software applications developed in C/C++, COBOL, Java (J2EE), Job Control Language, HTML, SQL, and Visual Basic. Determine testing requirements and write test plans. Requires active participation on an integrated product team and close coordination with integration and information assurance teams to maintain project schedule. Travel to client sites for system delivery and testing. Required Qualifications: Must have strong experience in advanced software test development, problem solving and troublshooting and technical writing. Excellent communication skills required. Requires Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
